HEROIC DRIVE RESULTS IN POINTS IN TOKYO

Cassidy returns to Japan for the first time since 2020 securing valuable points for Jaguar TCS Racing on the team’s 100th race in Formula E.

The inaugural Tokyo E-Prix provided fans with an action packed 35 laps of racing in Formula E's latest addition to the calendar - Tokyo's Big Sight street circuit.  

·     A strong & calculated drive from Nick and the Jaguar TCS Racing team saw a fight for points on the grid climbing from 19th through to an 8th place finish in Tokyo.

·     A complicated qualifying due to a technical infringement left Cassidy's fastest lap deleted after making it through to the duels resulting in a P19 start.

·     Nick made progress from the 19th place start to finish over the line at an impressive 9th place

·     A disqualification of Mahindra's Edoardo Mortara moved Nick up to finish an overall 8th place bringing home 4 valuable points

·     Cassidy now stands second in the Drivers' Championship only 2 points behind Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein with Jaguar TCS Racing defending first position in the overall Teams' Championships

 

The Tokyo E-Prix was an exciting race for the Kiwi Driver having raced in Japan between 2015 and 2020 being crowned the 'Triple Crown' winning the Formula 3, Super Formula and Super GT titles. Nick and the JaguarTCS Racing team delivered a smooth & strategic race for the Japanese fans in the Jaguar I-TYPE 6 to make up the positions from 19th to 8th to finish at the Tokyo Big Sight circuit.
