REDEMPTION ON DAY 2 LEADS TO FOURTH PODIUM OF 2024 IN MISANO

Despite contact with Vergne in the opening laps of the Round 6, Nick was forced to retire due to a technical failure which was quickly redeemed in the second race of the weekend to finish third in the Misano E-Prix.

  • Nick bounced back from Saturday’s DNF to secure a podium in Round 7 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
  • The first race started off with Nick taking the lead by lap three which shortly ended due to a contact with Jean Eric Vergne.
  • Later in race, Nick was forced to retire due to a technical failure on the final lap.
  • Cassidy entered the second day of the weekend making it through to the Duel’s leading the group timings which came to an end in the quarter-finals with a deleted lap time meaning an eighth place position start on the grid.
  • Through a strong technical strategy the decision to activate attack mode early focused on maximising efficiency for a thrilling final lap, overtaking Mueller to finish in third just before the finish line claiming the final podium spot.
  • After the Misano double-header weekend Nick leaves with a total of 76 points moving up to fourth in the overall Drivers’ World Championship.

Following the weekend Cassidy added; “I’m happy with the result today. It has a been tough three races for me, so I’m really pleased to be back on the podium. The late battle with Nico until the end made for a close finish. Thank you to all of the team and now we turn our focus on Monaco.”
